Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
How do I apply for a job vacancy?
The best way to apply for a role with us is to complete our short application form which can be found at the end of the job description of the position you are interested in. You will also be asked to upload your CV at the end of the application.
How will I be notified if I have an interview?
If you are selected for an interview, you will receive an email from a member of our careers team. The email will contain the date, time, and location of your interview, along with details of who the panel will be. We advise all applicants to check their ‘junk’ folder as sometimes the emails can end up there.
Will my interview be online or in person?
Most of our interviews are conducted online, however sometimes the hiring team will want to meet you in person.
What if I require reasonable adjustments for the interview?
We are fully committed to supporting people who require adjustments for any part of the recruitment process. The Human Resources Team will ensure the appropriate steps are taken to support all requests. Contact careers@clearsprings.co.uk to let us know what adjustments you need.
What if I need to rearrange my interview?
If you are unable to attend on the interview date/time suggested to you, we will make every attempt to offer you an alternative date or time.
Where possible, we aim to give all candidates at least 3 working days’ notice for interviews.
I can’t see a closing date on the job advert, how long do I have to apply?
We generally keep job adverts open for up to 6 weeks, however we operate on a rolling interview cycle, which means we continue to review applications and schedule interviews until the right person is found. If the position is filled before the 6-week period, the job advert will be closed, and any remaining interviews cancelled.
We reserve the right to close adverts early if a higher-than-expected level of applications are received for the role.
What benefits does the company offer?
As well as competitive rates of pay, we offer a range of attractive benefits. Take a look around the benefits section of our website for more information.
Do I need a DBS check to work for your company?
Yes, our offers of employment are subject to satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) disclosure checks and five years referencing (without gaps). Some roles also require additional checks which are discussed with candidates at interview.
All checks are carried out at our expense. Until these checks are carried out employment cannot commence.
Can I apply for a vacancy if I am already employed by the Company?
Of course, we welcome applications from internal and external candidates. Whether you already work at the company or not, the process is just the same.
Does CRH pay an area allowance for any of its roles?
CRH pays an area allowance to field staff living in a London Borough. If an applicant qualifies for this allowance, this is discussed during interviews and confirmed on offer. If an employee moves outside of a London Borough during their employment, they will be ineligible for the area allowance and this payment will cease.
